            3.1.Suitability of training company

        Different sizes of companies

Facilities may differ slightly between different sized companies, and/or belong to a brand, or operate
independently. Depending on the specialisation of the company, modern machines and tools are provided
to handle the various work orders. Bigger companies are divided into different departments with specific
tasks. The learner visits the sections according to a rotation plan.

                    Tip: Collaboration between companies

Several smaller companies can work together to provide students with training on machines, tools and
equipment where companies are in a position to complement each other. This would also be via a rotation
        plan. (Collaborative training)

            3.2.Facilities and learning outcomes

To ensure that the working environment is a pleasant place for the apprentices to spend their days, it’s
important that the relevant facilities are put in place. These facilities need to be hygienic and the welfare of
the staff needs to be adhered to. When it comes to toilets, washing facilities and changing rooms for
example, men and women should have separate facilities and both should be clean, well-lit and ventilated
and equipped with warm and cold water, soap and hand drying facilities.
